Music Monday: Workout Tracks

Listening to high energy, loud music always makes working out way more fun since I can get bored pretty easily. I'll typically queue up all the music I want to listen to while I'm warming up and walking on the treadmill. This list is a conglomeration of a playlist I made for running 5Ks about a year ago and the songs I've been mixing into my workouts most recently! Tracks range from Spanish/Latinx jams to rap to punk rock to pop to EDM.

Awful Things by Lil Peep

A friend of mine introduced me to Lil Peep's music this summer and I totally love his vibe. This song is probably his most well known.

Cold Water by Major Lazer ft. Justin Beiber and MØ

An EDM-pop crossover classic, this track is uptempo without being too aggressive.

Dat $tick by Rich Chigga

This song just exudes badassery. Hard rap is always great workout motivation.

I Like Tuh by Carnage ft. ILOVEMAKONNEN

This track is super high energy and awesome for getting your heart rate up.

Mi Gente (Dillon Francis Remix) by J Balvin, Willy William

This remix of the hit Mi Gente track adds a bouncy EDM energy that makes it even better for staying in the zone at the gym.

Sit Still, Look Pretty by Daya

This track is lyrically empowering and sonically upbeat, making it great to cut the aggression of some of the EDM and rap tracks on my playlist.

No Limit by G-Eazy ft. A$AP Rocky and Cardi B

I always try to stay up to date with new rap releases in my workout playlist, plus I'm a big G-Eazy fan. Cardi B's Bodak Yellow is also in pretty high rotation when I'm working out.

Bass Down Low by DEV ft. the Cataracs

I've loved this song for as long as I can remember. It doesn't get more high energy than this!

HOW YOU FEELING? by SUPERFRUIT

I'll typically shuffle through a handful of SUPERFRUIT tracks during a workout. They're always super fun and high energy.

Wasted by Tiësto ft. Matthew Koma

A pop EDM classic. I never fail to bop along to the energy of this song.

I Do Coke by Kill The Noise ft. Feed Me

I swear to God I don't do coke, but this song is a quirky and aggressive EDM track that always lights a fire under me during a workout.

Needed Me by Rihanna

Do I even need to explain this track? Rihanna is an icon and this song is a great song for when you want to feel independent and unstoppable.

Boys by Charli XCX

Uptempo, fun, and quite a motivational music video. This song has been on heavy rotation for me since I first listened to it.

Black Barbies by Nicki Minaj and Mile WiLL Made-It

Nicki Minaj has so many great tracks to make you feel like a bad bitch when working out and this remix is no exception.

Vivir Mi Vida by Marc Anthony

This track was played non-stop when I was studying abroad in Spain so it always brings a smile to my face when I'm working out.

Look What You Made Me Do by Taylor Swift

I'm not proud of how often I've listened to this song. I swear it's pretty good outside of the context of all of the T-Swift drama and nonsense?

Cheap Thrills by Sia ft. Big Sean

This song was pretty overplayed on the radio this past summer, so it's great for keeping up high energy and sunny thoughts while running.

Strip That Down by Liam Payne ft. Quavo

I am unabashedly here for all of the new music that former 1D members have been putting out. This one has an especially great bass line for keeping up your workout rhythm.

Borderline (Vanic Remix) by Tove Styrke

Vanic has so many great, high intensity trap remixes. This one is a long time favorite.

Snapchat by J Balvin

A bit lower tempo, this track is great for slowing things down in your workout.

Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time by Panic! At the Disco

Sometimes I'll just listen to the entire Death of a Bachelor album from Panic! At the Disco while I'm working out. This song is an indisputable jam.

Nothing 2 Lose by KYLE

KYLE is one of my favorite artists of all time. His music is always fun and upbeat, great for keeping my energy up!

Soy Peor by Bad Bunny

This Bad Bunny track is a bit lower energy, but it's still a banger. Sometimes you gotta slow your workout down.
